**WhatsApp** has released a new beta version for Android that tests a bunch of features for the app like the multi share feature for both files and text, a group calling shortcut, a search bar for GIFs, and more. The beta version 2.18.373 has currently been rolled out only to Android. [caption id=“attachment_5022761” align=“alignnone” width=“1024”] WhatsApp for Android. WhatsApp Multi-Share file features
In the version 2.18.366, Android has enabled all beta users to test a new Multi Share text feature, which lets you copy text from a third party application and share it with two or more contacts on WhatsApp simultaneously.

You need to use the "Share" (sharing text from another app) native feature and it allows to see the preview of the text you are sharing (with 2 or more contacts).
It’s compatible with link preview. https://t.co/SigJvV09Io
Now, according to another report by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is also testing a Multi Share feature for files that works the same at the muti-share text feature. Apparently, WhatsApp will also allow users to play these audio files before sending them to other users. Currently, there is no timeline on when this feature will be available to the public. WhatsApp Group call shortcut
Spotted on the **previous beta versions** too, WhatsApp is also testing a group calling shortcut in the app, which is essentially a UI change to the group calling feature. Basically, when this feature rolls out, you will start to see a calling icon on your group chats, to directly dial in all the group members in the call. According to the report, WhatsApp has now begun to enable the feature for a few users, but the rollout is happening slowly.
