WhatsApp releases new updates for text status and message recall via the Google Play Beta Program

WhatsApp has recently introduced some new updates to its app via the Google Play Beta Program. With the new 2.17.235  beta update a button has been added via which users can quickly publish new text status updates. Also the format of the status can be customized. This feature is, however, disabled by default and needs to be activated. Also the update may bring a recall feature which may help the user recall an unwanted text message if the person hasn’t read it. WhatsApp added a new font for writing new text statuses that’s temporarily compatible with Android 4.0.3. You can use all the available fonts for writing a text status using the drawing tool. Again, this feature will also stay off by default. WhatsApp is also building a second WhatsApp app for business users, which should be called ‘WhatsApp Small’ and _’_Medium Business’, however, right now, there isn’t much known about this feature. This update comes after WhatsApp rolled out a new feature on Android making it possible for users to **report contacts** and groups as spam. Previously, it was only possible to report unknown users and groups where you were added as spam.
