Webdunia.com Adds 2 Languages to Portfolio

Language solution provider for mobile phones, Webdunia.com, is extending its catalogue of BREW applications to include content in two additional languages — Oriya and Assamese. Webdunia.com’s catalogue is currently available in nine Indian languages — Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Bengali and Punjabi.

Webdunia provides daily news, astrology content and jokes to users across the country on the Tata Teleservices network.

“We were one of the first developers in India to recognize the potential of creating localized content, and our applications enable users to view their favorite content in their preferred language, irrespective of whether their handset supports that language,” said Vinay Chhajlani, CEO and founder, Webdunia.com. “We are extremely encouraged by the tremendous response that we have received so far and are certain that users will welcome our applications in these two languages as well.”
