Samsung is about to launch a couple of new devices under its Galaxy Tab brand in Delhi today. Catch all the action from the event live below:

The Korean company is expected to unveil two new Galaxy Tab 3 slates. The Tab 3 7.0 will be the more affordable of the two, with the other 8-inch tablet adding a new screen size to the existing Galaxy Tab portfolio.

The Tab 3 7.0 obviously has a 7-inch display, but the lowly WSVGA (1024 x 600) resolution is disappointing in this day and age when tablets routinely come with 1280 x 800. Performance should be smooth considering there’s a 1.2GHz dual-core processor and 1GB of RAM along with helpings of Project Butter thanks to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. A 3 megapixel camera sits on the back and a 1.9 megapixel camera is on the front. Besides Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, the tablet has 3G support for voice and data so you can also use this as a massive smartphone.

In comparison to its smaller sibling, the Tab 3 8.0 is a more powerful tablet with a 1.5GHz quad-core processor and 1.5GB of RAM. This one too ships with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. The larger display has a WXGA (1280 x 800) resolution, which is just about decent. There’s a 5-megapixel camera on the back along with a 1.9 megapixel front-facing shooter.

Both tablets will come with Samsung’s TouchWiz customisations which could include some of the new software features we saw in the Samsung Galaxy S4.
