India will be celebrating her 66th Independence Day tomorrow, on August 15, 2013. Like it happens each year, the national tricolour will be hoisted in different parts of the country tomorrow – in schools, government buildings, residential complexes, et al, and the festivities will commence thereafter.
However, one ritual that the nation follows religiously each year, year after year, is the Independence Day celebrations and the nation’s Prime Minister addressing the nation. For a change this year, viewers will have the option to watch the events unfold on YouTube.
