Ubisoft won’t be developing exclusively for the PlayStation 4. According to Videogamer , the company plans to release its upcoming games, namely Watch Dogs and Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag, for Microsoft’s upcoming next-gen console as well. The next-gen Xbox versions of the games have been listed on the LinkedIn profiles of Ubisoft’s Gameplay Programmer Paolo Maninetti and Marketing Artist Phil Brolles. The games are said to be headed to the X720.

Watch Dogs is said to be “work in progress for next generation consoles” on Brolles’profile. Maninetti says that the next game in the Assassin’s Creed franchise is going to come to the “PC, PS3, X360, PS4, X720, [and> WiiU”.

While we know that the games were going to come to the next-gen Xbox regardless, it is still strange to see these developers listing the X720 despite Microsoft’s complete silence over the console.

Watch Dogs is set in Chicago in a future. Much like almost every other sci-fi setting, this future is run by megacorporations and the “Central Operating System”, which is a massive software that monitors and manages all aspects of city life. You play Aiden Pearce—a rebellious hacker out to take the establishment down.

Watch Dogs will have pre-order bonuses

There will also be a co-op mode. The gameplay video shown during the announcement of the game at last year’s E3 showed a second player character who covered Pearce from the rooftops. The developers have also stated that the game will have asynchronous multiplayer, and during the gameplay demo that was shown during the PlayStation 4 unveiling, you could notice a security camera that got randomly hacked by someone other than the player character.

From what we’ve seen of the game so far, it looks like a rather ambitious mix between Deus Ex, Assassin’s Creed and Grand Theft Auto. The original announcement demo was run on a PC, but the game will be making its way to the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and the Wii U. So far, there has been no release date announced.

Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag tells the story of Edward Kenway, a young British man with a thirst for danger and adventure who falls from privateering for the Royal Navy into piracy as the war between the major Empires comes to an end. Edward is a fierce pirate and seasoned fighter, and soon finds himself embroiled in the ancient war between Assassins and Templars.

Set at the dawn of the 18th Century, Black Flag features some of the most infamous pirates in history, such as Blackbeard and Charles Vane, and takes players on a journey throughout the West Indies during a turbulent and violent period that was later known as the Golden Age of Pirates.

Ever heard of one of those people who just never seem to shut up about something? Shunal is like the nerd equivalent of that guy. Believe us when we say that he can go on talking about games and smartphones for hours on end. We do manage to find some insight in his insane ramblings though, and through his moronic facade, he does seem to know more than he lets on. Sadly enough, it always ends up being about gaming with him. Or stupid, stupid puns. see more
