Vivendi Universal (VU) (the Hulk, 50 Cent Bulletproof, F.E.A.R etc.) has snagged the rights to the up-coming fantasy flick Eragon (not to be confused with Viggo Mortensen’s character from the LOTR); which basically means they can give it the videogame treatment. Eragon the movie will be based on the book of the same name and will be based on the magical times a boy shares with his magical dragon (and by dragon I mean the flying kind). The game will be released by the 12th of December 2006 to coincide with the movie’s theatrical release and will be available for the PC, the Xbox, the PS2 and handhelds.
“Eragon will let gamers battle with a combo and magic-based combat system, complete with finishing moves, grapples, blocks and counters. The game will also have dragon summoning, actual dragon flight, and dragon dogfights.”
Sounds like fun… if you’re ten years old.
