Volition has revealed its plans for the DLC for upcoming game Saints Row 4. According to Polygon , Creative Director Steve Jaros said at the San Diego Comic-Con that the first DLC for the game will be a “pastiche of all the things that were cut out of the game.” The DLC will be presented as a mockumentary starring the game’s characters. The DLC has been titled Enter the Dominatrix and is expected to hit stores around six weeks after the release of Saints Row 4.
Originally, Enter the Dominatrix was going to be a DLC for Saints Row The Third, but Volition went for a sequel instead. Earlier rumours had suggested that Saints Row 4 would be based on the Enter the Dominatrix DLC; however, those rumours have since been put to rest thanks to announcements by Volition and Deep Silver.
Best DLC name ever!
Earlier, Jaros had revealed that one of the original plans for the ending of Saints Row 4 was the addition of a Bollywood-styled song-and-dance number . Since Enter the Dominatrix will feature some of the game’s cut content, there is a chance that we might get to see this idea come to fruition.
The studio was completely ready to make the (what we think would’ve been a totally awesome) ending, but cost and complexity got in the way. According to Jaros, the ending was on their schedule, and they were trying to do it the right way. It came to a screeching halt when the Saints Row 4 motion capture team detailed the cost and complexity of the song and dance number. “Time kills jokes, is what it boils down to,” he said.
Currently, Saints Row 4 is up for pre-order on digital distribution platform Steam . Since publisher Deep Silver doesn’t have an Indian presence, it is unknown if the game will be released here through retail channels. The game will be out on August 20.
Ever heard of one of those people who just never seem to shut up about something? Shunal is like the nerd equivalent of that guy. Believe us when we say that he can go on talking about games and smartphones for hours on end. We do manage to find some insight in his insane ramblings though, and through his moronic facade, he does seem to know more than he lets on. Sadly enough, it always ends up being about gaming with him. Or stupid, stupid puns.
