Vodaphone has launched three phones with the McLaren-Mercedes branding, in association with the Formula 1 team. The phones are from Sharp and Samsung, and feature the silver and red color scheme that’s quite synonymous with their F1 team branding.
The Sharp GX29 is a tri-band GSM/GPRS clamshell handset (no EDGE). It does have a large 240x320 (QVGA) display, an external 72x12 display, Bluetooth and a VGA camera, but only 2.1mb of memory with no memory card slot.
The next one is a Sharp 770SH, another clamshell with tri-band GSM, GPRS and 3G support, still no EDGE, a QVGA display, 20mb memory with a microSD slot, a 1.3 megapixel camera and Bluetooth.
Details on the Samsung SGH-Z520M slider are scarce, but it is expected to have a 3 megapixel camera with autofocus, a QVGA screen, Bluetooth, microSD slot and EDGE–similar to the D900 slider.
