Vivo has already confirmed that it will start production of its
APEX
smartphone later this year after officially unveiling the device a few days back in China. Along with this, Vivo has launched the
Vivo X20 UD
smartphone in January and both these devices have an under-the-display fingerprint reader. Reports are now emerging of a third device from Vivo with this fingerprint technology, and it’s going to be called the Vivo X21. report
by GizmoChina, a few models under the same name have been certified by 3C. However, a poster has leaked out of the device which points out that the device will have a dual-camera system as well as an under-the-display fingerprint sensor which Vivo calls ‘ClearID’. The photo shows a fingerprint icon on top of the screen, which could mean that Vivo will be using this ClearID technology in the device. Also, as per the report, out of the four variants listed on 3C, one had the initials UD next to it, which further bolsters the suggestion that the Vivo X21 will offer at least one variant having an under-the-display fingerprint sensor. No more details were revealed about the device and it is being speculated that the phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 670 SoC and that it might have 6 GB of RAM.
