Vivo X9, X9 Plus and Xplay6 launched in China: 20MP front facing camera, 6GB RAM and more

Chinese smartphone maker Vivo has just announced three new smartphones that sit between the mid to the premium segment. The Vivo X9, X9 Plus and Xplay6 were announced for the China market and have been priced between CNY 2,798 (roughly Rs 27,656) and CNY 4,498 (roughly Rs 44,459) and will be available in Gold and Rose Gold colours. Starting with the price tags, the Vivo X9 will be available in two options a 64GB option priced at CNY 2,798 (roughly Rs 27,656) and a 128GB option priced at CNY 2,998 (roughly Rs 29,633). Price tags for the X9 Plus have yet to be revealed. The flagship Vivo Xplay6 however will be priced at a steep CNY 4,498 (roughly Rs 44,459). Vivo X9 and X9 Plus Coming to the specifications, the X9 features a 5.5-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display. Inside there is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset clocked at 2GHz paired with 2GB RAM and 64GB/128GB internal storage. The smartphone features a 3050mAh battery and weighs 154 grams. The Vivo X9 and X9 Plus feature dual front-facing cameras. The sensors are similar to that on the recently launched Vivo V5  that comfortably sits in the budget to mid range in India. ![Vivo X9 and Vivo X9 Plus Rose](http://tech.firstpost.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/Vivo-X9-and-Vivo-X9-Plus-Rose.jpg) The rear camera on the X9 is a 16MP unit with phase detection autofocus (PDAF), which is again similar to the stuff that we have seen on the V5. The Vivo X9 is a slightly larger variant of the phablet-sized X9. It packs in a 5.88-inch Full HD IPS display instead of the Super AMOLED unit on its smaller sibling. Inside there is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 clocked at 1.4GHz paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Thanks to its size and requirements the X9 Plus can handle a 4,000mAh battery with fast charging. ![Vivo X9 and Vivo X9 Plus Gold Rose](http://tech.firstpost.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/Vivo-X9-and-Vivo-X9-Plus-Gold-Rose.jpg) Both smartphones feature dual SIM setups and feature Vivo’s FuntouchOS 3.0 with Android 6.0 as the base. Along with a fingerprint reader on the front, the handsets support 4G bands with VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, and a Micro-USB port. Vivo Xplay6 The Vivo XPlay 6 is the company’s flagship offering for the year. It features a dual curved 5.46-inch Super AMOLED display that is of QHD resolution (1440 x 2560 pixels). The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset coupled with 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. ![Vivo Xplay6 front back](http://tech.firstpost.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/Vivo-Xplay6-front-back.jpg)   Apart from the dual curved display, the Xplay6’s next best feature is the dual camera set up on the back. With its flagship Vivo went with a Sony IMX362 sensor, PDAF, and a f/1.7 aperture coupled with a dual tone LED flash. The secondary camera just below the main one, is a 5MP unit with a 16MP unit left for selfie duties. ![Vivo Xplay6 camera](http://tech.firstpost.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/Vivo-Xplay6-camera.jpg) There is a fingerprint reader on the front in the home button (like the others) and the handset support 4G bands with VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, and a Micro-USB port. It is powered by a 4080mAh battery.
