Vivo had confirmed that it will host an event today, where it’s most likely to unveil the upcoming ‘Vivo X6’ smartphone. The company had also posted a teaser for the handset on Weibo as well. However, TENAA recently listed two devices with images which go by the name, Vivo X6 Plus L and Vivo X6 Plus D. In addition, another Vivo X6 Plus variant with name Vivo X6 Plus A has been listed on the TENAA website without any specifications of the device. According to a report by Times News, the Vivo X6 Plus is rumored to have a 5.7-inch display and will be powered by a deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 64-bit processor, along with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage with expandable storage slot. It is rumoured to feature a 21MP rear camera along with a 12MP front facing camera. The device is rumoured to have a fingerprint scanner along with a 4000mAh battery. Vivo’s X6 smartphone had also been spotted earlier this month in a TENAA listing which shed some light on the specifications. According to the report, the device will feature a 6-inch QHD display with a 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution. It will be powered by a deca-core MediaTek (MT6795) Helio X20 processor paired with 4GB RAM. In terms of memory, the device will include an internal storage of 32GB and also supports expandable storage via microSD card. The smartphone is most likely to run Android 5.1 Lollipop and will include a 4,000mAh battery. It will also come equipped with a 21MP rear camera along with a 12MP front-facing camera. Connectivity features might include 4G LTE/3G, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS. According to a previous report , Jerome Chen, deputy general manager at Vivo India said that the company would be investing Rs. 125 crore by the end of the year in India. Talking about competition, Chen said, “We are in India as the country is seeing a massive smartphone growth. We are not focusing on competition but on our core competencies like music, design to woo consumers and give them satisfaction.”
