Popular Chinese smartphone company Vivo
**recently unveiled** the world’s first smartphone with an in-display fingerprint sensor at CES 2018. **Vivo X20** named Vivo X20 Plus UD with an in-display fingerprint sensor has already
arrived on TENAA. Based on
a report by GSMArena, the Vivo X20 Plus UD looks almost identical to the regular Vivo X20 Plus barring the square fingerprint scanner on the back of the phone. The company has partnered with Synaptics using its technology to implement what
**Synaptics** like to call Clear ID fingerprint sensor that sits under the display. Apart from the sensor, the Vivo X20 Plus UD is expected to come with pretty much the same specifications as the regular Vivo X20 Plus. This includes a 6.43-inch Full HD Plus display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC and 4 GB of RAM with 128 GB of onboard storage. [caption id=“attachment_4306641” align=“alignnone” width=“1280”]
The Vivo X20 Plus UD on TENAA website. Image: GSMArena[/caption] The X20 Plus comes with a f/1.8 aperture 12 MP primary camera alongside a 5 MP secondary sensor. On the front, the phone gets a 12 MP front-facing camera with a f/2.0 aperture. It also comes with a large 3,800 mAh battery.
