Chinese smartphone maker Vivo today launched yet another selfie focused smartphone called the V5s. Although it is said to be a successor to last year’s V5, the new handset comes with almost similar hardware.

The Vivo V5s gets a 5.5-inch Full-HD (1920 × 1080 pixels) resolution display protected with Gorilla Glass 5. The V5 had a similar sized 720p display. On the inside, you get the same octa-core 64-bit MediaTek MT6750 processor clocked at 1.5 GHz along with a Mali T860 GPU. While the RAM is again 4 GB RAM the internal storage has been bumped up to 64 GB. Of course, there is a memory expansion slot which supports microSD cards of up to 256 GB. The only change from the Vivo V5 is that V5s will come with different design on the back. Unlike what we expected, there is no metal and the phone is still made of plastic like with the Vivo V5 .
