 "Vine for Web arrives with custom URLs")
Nearly a year after Twitter unleashed the app, the six-second video sharing app Vine has finally come to web. The service, in December, had been inviting users to secure their vanity URL that could be used by family and friends to access profiles on the Vine website.
You will now be able to head on to Vine’s website and log into it to see your home feed. Click on any of your family and friends’ profiles and you will now be greeted with a list of their Vines that auto-play as you scroll through the list.

In a blog post announcing the website, the Janessa Det, an Engineer for Vine, wrote that introducing Vine for web is merely the first step towards bringing a richer web experience of the service to users. The company has promised that 2014 will see a lot more new features and improvements as far as Vine on the web goes.
On the website, you will not just be able to go through your feed and check out videos by all those you are following, but will also be able to like, comment and share videos just like you can with the app. If you have the custom URL of your favourite profiles, you will also be able to directly head to their profiles and view their videos. You can also share your own profile with others.
Check out the new TV Mode
Vine has added an interesting feature to its website called TV Mode. Using this, you can view videos in full-screen instead of scrolling through the timeline and seeing smaller squares of videos. You can then change videos as and when you want to.
The service started taking requests for vanity URLs in December and verified Twitter profiles were the first allowed to take a go at reserving their IDs. Common users are still able to pick up custom URLs for their Vine ID and the service urges users to do so before someone else picks it up. Make sure, if you use your Twitter ID to access Vine, you will need to link an email account with the service in order to secure the custom URL.
