Vine app now available for Windows 10 tablets and PCs

Vine has released a brand new app for Windows 10 PC’s and tablets. Similar to the mobile platform, the new PC and tablet Vine app includes an explore section where one can check out viral Vines and channels like music, dance, comedy and sports. The app is now available for download. One can also create and share a Vine of your own by uploading a video from your PC. The app also includes Windows 10 features like Live Tiles, an adaptive UI, and Drag and Drop. For access to Vine channels and accounts, you can also pin them to your Start menu. If you pin an account, you shall see a preview of their latest Vines in the Live Tile. If you want to make a Vine loop, you can mouse over it or touch the screen if you have a touch-enabled device as well. Recently, Vine introduced a new “Watch” button that allows users to watch a particular channel or account without the need to scroll. The update is now available for Android and iOS. According to the Vine blog, people love to go through a channel or watch an account from start to finish. You can now do that with just the tap of a button, without having to manually scroll through individual posts. In addition, if users are on a particular channel, they can tap “Posts” to choose how they want to view Vines which could either be from oldest to newest, newest to oldest, or by what’s popular. A report by TechCrunch points out that Vine has really transformed over the past few years to be more than just a social network. It follows the Twitter doctrine of one-to-many broadcasting, with a smaller amount of producers providing content for a larger group of consumers. Recently, Vine also  introduced a new audio remix feature which makes it easy to incorporate sound already used by others. Vine also announced that its users, whatever their mobile operating system, can now access a list of all the videos that have an identical (or already remixed) soundtrack. In this way users can find the source of a particular sound. It is also possible to search for all the Vines featuring a particular song title.
