ViewSonic, the brand popular for their monitors, televisions and other visual electronics equipments have a wide range of projectors in their portfolio as well. Building up on their line-up of projectors, the manufacturer has introduced two new ultraportable and energy-efficient LED projectors - PLED-W500 and PLED-W200. These projectors have been aimed at business users as well as those looking for a projector that can be used at a presentation, a party or any other purpose. ViewSonic claims that even though it is petite and powerful, these projectors are multifunctional, as they are lightweight for the business presenters and supreme for home entertainment.
Two new PLED ultraportable projectors announced
Speaking at the announcement of these projectors, Ajay Sharma, Country Manager at ViewSonic India, said, “The ViewSonic ultraportable LED projectors transform the projector from a cumbersome gadget to an incredibly lightweight, compact device that can be carried anywhere. With high-brightness, long-life lamps, the PLED projectors are superior to others in the same class and certain to meet all your projection needs.”
The ViewSonic PLED-W500 and W200 share certain attributes, which include small form factors, 20,000 hours of LED lamp life, 3D technology at 120Hz frame rates and the ability to project up to 33 to 40 inches from a distance of one meter. These projectors also come with USB connectivity, a Microsoft Office/ PDF viewer and a SD/ SDHC card slot that can play content without a PC.
ViewSonic PLED-W500
This projector features a 500 ANSI lumens, which ViewSonic claims is superior in the pocket projector category, while offering 20,000 hours of brightness, while operating powerfully and economically. The 1.4:1 short throw ratio projects a 33-inch screen from a one metre distance with high native WXGA resolution, plus 1GB of onboard memory allows users to store documents and multimedia files. This projector measures at 214 x 164 x 42mm and weighs 1.18kgs. ViewSonic states, “Sporting a piano-black mirrored surface and geometric inset buttons, the PLED-W500 appears modern and sleek, ideal for running presentations and experiencing multimedia.”
ViewSonic PLED-W200
This projector measures at 130 x 126 x 32mm and weighs just 420g, making it ultrathin and allowing it to be easily carried in a briefcase for convenient transportation between meetings and business trips. The PLED-W200 LED light source with 250 ANSI lumens lasts 20,000 hours. The brand states, “Equipped with a built-in 32GB SD/SDHC card reader, dual integrated 2W speakers and Microsoft Office/PDF viewer, the PLED-W200 displays Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF and other multimedia files without a PC. The PLED-W200 also features 1.16:1 short throw ratio that can project a 40-inch screen from a one metre distance with high native WXGA resolution.”
The ViewSonic PLED-W500 is available in India at a price of less than Rs.50,000.
