It’s been quite some time since veteran game developer Cliff Bleszinski (CliffyB) departed from Epic to work on his own project. He has finally given a teaser for his upcoming game over Twitter along with a picture. As of now, Bleszinski hasn’t revealed any details about the game, or even a title, for that matter.

The tweet says, “Here’s a sneak peek at something I’m working on that has been cropped.” The picture shows a man with a gun standing on the bank of a river. There is also a military patrol boat and what appears to be an encampment in the background. The art has been done by Shaddy Safadi, according to CliffyB, whose previous work includes The Last of Us.

CliffyB was previously responsible for many of Epic’s biggest games, including the Unreal Tournament series as well as the Gears of War series, but one of the earliest games involving him was 1994’s side-scroller Jazz Jackrabbit. The last game he worked on during his tenure at Epic was Gears of War: Judgment.

Gears of War: Judgment was a sequel to the trilogy, and instead of Marcus Fenix, the game revolved around the story of Baird and his squad mates as they handled the events of the first Locust attack.

Bleszinski has also worked on games outside of Epic, such as with Microsoft Game Studios for indie Xbox Live Arcade title Shadow Complex and Ubisoft for World War II-era shooter Brothers in Arms.

He has earlier been quoted as saying that he might return to developing big-budget AAA titles eventually but currently wants to work with a smaller studio.

Ever heard of one of those people who just never seem to shut up about something? Shunal is like the nerd equivalent of that guy. Believe us when we say that he can go on talking about games and smartphones for hours on end. We do manage to find some insight in his insane ramblings though, and through his moronic facade, he does seem to know more than he lets on. Sadly enough, it always ends up being about gaming with him. Or stupid, stupid puns. see more
