Browser plug-ins, though common for desktop browsers, are still scanty for mobiles. The two most popular browsers that support plug-ins for mobile are Dolphin Browser HD and Firefox Mobile. Browser plug-ins are little files that extend the capabilities of your browser by letting you perform such functions as download web videos or auto fill-in your username and password on various websites. VBrowser is a simple browser out for Android-based mobile devices that’s light in weight and it takes up a little more than 1 MB in disk space. It does not come with a password manager or support tabs out of the box. It supports pinch to zoom and Adobe Flash.

VBrowser’s prized feature is support for plug-ins. At the moment, there are very few plug-ins available for the mobile browser, and what’s available right now includes a video downloader, URL completing utility, support for bookmarks, an integrated file manager and a file downloaded with pause and resume capabilities. However, there is still room for more browser plug-ins to come in and make the mobile browser more productive. VBrowser works in incognito mode which means that it won’t save your browser history. Most other browsers give you the option to work either in or not in incognito mode, however, VBrowser does not give you that option. VBrowser is available from the Android Market for free.

Paddy does not, we repeat, definitely does NOT belong in the category of Mac-head (yeh right!). She does get excited by her iPhone and her iMac and her iPod Nano and her Macbook and Bali's iPad and her future iHouse (patent pending). Ok, so maybe her head is a little bit forbidden fruit shaped. She likes shooting video (iPhone 4 camera zindabad!) and editing montages (Final Cut Pro zindabad!), whether the scene calls for it or no. In her spare time, she's either kicking it on stage with KB the keyboard or kicking butt at Taekwondo.
