Sony plans to replace some of the games in its year-long Instant Game Collection list available for PlayStation Plus subscribers. Namely, the company is replacing LittleBigPlanet 2, inFamous 2 and Motorstorm Apoycalypse, and is replacing them with XCOM: Enemy Unknown, the single player campaign of Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception and LittleBigPlanet Karting. The changes to the Instant Game Collection will happen on June 11 in North America and June 12 in Europe.

Long road out of hell

Uncharted 3’s single player is one of the games up for grabs

Uncharted 3 catapults Drake headlong into a dangerous search for the fabled relic, “Atlantis of the Sands”, with Drake travelling around the streets of London, a burning French chateau and the heart of the Arabian Desert. The game pits Drake and his mentor Victor Sullivan against an occult organisation and its ruthless leader, Katherine Marlowe. Only the single player version of the game is part of the Instant Game Collection on PlayStation Plus because the multiplayer was made free-to-play back in February. XCOM: Enemy Unknown is a turn-based tactical strategy game where you have to thwart an alien threat to the Earth. The game lets you control six soldiers, each with their own class, stats and equipment, and pits you against a wide variety of aliens. One of the most interesting things about XCOM is that character death is permanent. If one of your soldiers dies, you’ll have to hire a new one and start training them from scratch. In LittleBigPlanet Karting, you play as Sackboy or Sackgirl and race karts. The interesting thing about this game is that just like the original LittleBigPlanet and its sequel, a lot of the levels and vehicles are user-created, and every race is unpredictable.

Ever heard of one of those people who just never seem to shut up about something? Shunal is like the nerd equivalent of that guy. Believe us when we say that he can go on talking about games and smartphones for hours on end. We do manage to find some insight in his insane ramblings though, and through his moronic facade, he does seem to know more than he lets on. Sadly enough, it always ends up being about gaming with him. Or stupid, stupid puns. see more
