UK-based company unveils the Zanco Tiny t1 which it claims is the world's smallest mobile phone

In a day and age when smartphones are outgrowing our palm sizes, comes the Zanco Tiny t1, which is literally smaller than the average human thumb. As a matter of fact, it’s so small that its size is comparable to a penny. The phone, released by UK-based company Clubit New Media as part of the Kickstarter campaign, measures 46.7 mm x 21 mm x 12 mm and weighs merely 13 g. The company claims that the Tiny t1 is the smallest phone on the market. [caption id=“attachment_4269395” align=“alignleft” width=“380”]Zanco Tiny t1. The phone has 0.49-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 64 x 32 pixels. The phone can support up to 300 contact numbers and save up to 50 SMS. The device supports only 2G networks, a nano-SIM card and has a backlit T9 keypad for text input and navigation. It has 32 GB of onboard storage alongside microUSB and Bluetooth as connectivity options. The device has a 200 mAh battery which can, according to the company, last up to three days on standby and 180 minutes of talk time. In any case, the device happens to be priced around  $40 (approx Rs 2,500) and the device will be shipped globally by May 2018.
