UCWeb has announced two major updates to its Windows desktop and Apple iOS browsers. With the new update, UC browser for PCs will now be equipped with UCWeb’s signature cloud-enabled browsing technology. This move signifies the company’s expansion into other screens in a bid to provide unified and streamlined browsing experience for its users.
The new UC Browser for PCs now comes with important features such as Cloud Sync, which for example, allows users to synchronise open tabs and bookmarks from UC Browser for mobile. It also has high-speed downloads, with an option to resume when downloads are interrupted, as well as a smart file manager that automatically categorises downloaded files by type.
In other features, the browser’s user interface has also been revamped. The new update will also enable users to access features like data compression and cloud acceleration. The company has also announced a big update for iOS which can be expected soon.
Kenny Ye, head of emerging markets at UCWeb’s international business department said, “In this era of multi-screens, daily life is now surrounded by different digital devices. People start their day with the smartphone and move on to the laptop”. He also added, “We’re making our browser available on multiple platforms to capture this trend”.
UC Browser for PC is now available on UCWeb’s website and will soon receive an update for iOS which will be available for download via the App Store .
