New IP!

“This year’s Gamescom is particularly exciting because it’s the first time players can really get their hands on the next-gen consoles and games they have been waiting for,” Yves Guillemot, co-founder and CEO at Ubisoft said in a statement. “Gamescom is a unique opportunity for us to connect face-to-face with our fans and listen to their feedback, and we think they’ll love what we’re bringing to this year’s show.”

Ubisoft’s upcoming releases include the pirate-themed Assassin’s Creed 4 and the dystopian cyberpunk open-world game Watch Dogs. More immediately, the company will be releasing stealth-action game Splinter Cell: Blacklist later this month.

Most of the games showcased at Ubisoft panels will be launched not only for the current-gen consoles (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3), but will also be hitting next-gen systems (Xbox One, PlayStation 4).

Gamescom 2013 will take place from August 21 to August 25. It is a yearly gaming event that takes place in Cologne, Germany.

Ever heard of one of those people who just never seem to shut up about something? Shunal is like the nerd equivalent of that guy. Believe us when we say that he can go on talking about games and smartphones for hours on end. We do manage to find some insight in his insane ramblings though, and through his moronic facade, he does seem to know more than he lets on. Sadly enough, it always ends up being about gaming with him. Or stupid, stupid puns.
