Ubisoft releases trailer for Assassin's Creed Anthology

Ubisoft last month confirmed that it would be packaging all the Assassin’s Creed games that featured Desmond Miles in one set called The Assassin’s Creed Anthology. The company has now released a trailer for the Anthology.

The trailer touches upon the story of the series, right from the time of the Holy Crusades in Assassin’s Creed and the Italian renaissance in Assassin’s Creed II and Brotherhood, to the journey to Constantinople in Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, and ends at the American Revolution in Assassin’s Creed III.

STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD

Here are the contents of the Assassin’s Creed Anthology:

  • Assassin’s Creed
  • Assassin’s Creed 2, plus Sequence 12: Battle of Forlì DLC and Sequence 13: Bonfire of the Vanities DLC
  • Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood - The Da Vinci Edition, includes The Da Vinci Disappearance single-player add-on, 2 additional missions: Trajan Market and the Aqueducts, new multiplayer features: 1 Map + 6 Characters + 2 new modes
  • Assassin’s Creed Revelations - The Ottoman Edition, includes The Lost Archive single-player add-on, 3 Skins, Capacity upgrades and additional mission: Vlad the Impaler’s Prison, plus new multiplayer features: 6 Maps + 7 Characters + Customisation Items
  • Assassin’s Creed 3, plus a Season Pass for all forthcoming DLC

The Assassin’s Creed series deals with a secret war that has lasted for millennia between the Assassins and the Templars. The Assassins seek to fight for the free will of people, while the Templars seek to control them. The first game was set during the Holy Crusades in Jerusalem. Protagonist Altaïr ibn-La’Ahad would have to jump from rooftops and sneak into groups of people in order to find and assassinate his targets.

From the Holy Crusades to the American Revolution

The second game was set during the Renaissance era in Florence. The main protagonist of the ‘II’ series of games - Assassin’s Creed II, Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, and Assassin’s Creed: Revelations - is Ezio Auditore. The II series of games dealt with the evolution of Ezio as a character, who starts out as a revenge-driven teenager and ends up as a highly-skilled master of Assassins. Altaïr is also featured in Revelations, and the aged assassin’s last few days are shown. The secondary protagonist of the series is Desmond Miles, who is accessing his ‘genetic memory’ to live the lives of his ancestors Altaïr and Ezio.

The latest game in the series puts you in control of Connor Kenway as you travel through the frontier and watch the American Revolution unfold.

Back in November, Ubisoft also announced that the first major DLC for Assassin’s Creed III would be released in mid-December. The DLC is set to be a single player campaign split into three episodes. The season pass for the Evil George Washington DLC (not the official name) is set to cost 2,400 Microsoft points on Xbox Live and $30 (around Rs 1,560) on the other platforms. The season pass will include all three episodes as well as a multiplayer DLC that will feature new maps and characters.

Ever heard of one of those people who just never seem to shut up about something? Shunal is like the nerd equivalent of that guy. Believe us when we say that he can go on talking about games and smartphones for hours on end. We do manage to find some insight in his insane ramblings though, and through his moronic facade, he does seem to know more than he lets on. Sadly enough, it always ends up being about gaming with him. Or stupid, stupid puns. see more
