Ubisoft has released a giant 14-minute long video that shows off the gameplay of upcoming sci-fi dystopian game Watch Dogs. The video shows some of the things players can do in the open-world game. Check it out:

Apparently, every situation in the game can be tackled in whatever way players want. For example, a level could be cleared by going in guns blazing, or you could sneak around the area, or even not set foot in the area in the first place and instead hack it from a distance.

The video also shows protagonist Aiden’s “Focus” ability, which lets him slow down time so that gun shots can be lined up more easily. The game will have a reputation system that rates players on the choices they make in tackling situations.

Apparently, the world also reacts to how players take on missions. The example shown in the video has Aiden kill a bunch of guards, and inadvertently being the number one suspect in a news report about it later. This leads to a shopkeeper setting off a silent alarm when he recognises Aiden.

.

Aiden is quite a morally ambiguous person

Aiden can gain access to anybody’s mobile phones by simply hacking into Wi-Fi hotspots around the city. For example, after hacking a series of cameras and then getting access to a person’s bank account through their mobile phone.

The video also shows a bit of the Dark Souls-styled multiplayer of Watch Dogs, where another player can seamlessly invade a player’s game and start hacking into their systems. It essentially becomes a game of hide and seek where each player is trying to find and hack the other.

Ever heard of one of those people who just never seem to shut up about something? Shunal is like the nerd equivalent of that guy. Believe us when we say that he can go on talking about games and smartphones for hours on end. We do manage to find some insight in his insane ramblings though, and through his moronic facade, he does seem to know more than he lets on. Sadly enough, it always ends up being about gaming with him. Or stupid, stupid puns.
