Ubisoft has released a new trailer for its upcoming game, Far Cry 3. The trailer focuses on a new feature for Far Cry 3 - the Island Map Editor. The Island Map Editor lets you create your own tropical island on which you can wreak havoc, or share with other players.

The editor offers tools that let you generate a random landscape, as well as modify it by adding flora and geological features such as waterfalls and caves. The editor also lets you add structures that can be classified in themes, including a tribal theme, as well as a World War II theme. You can also pick the weather and time of day.

Far Cry 3 will also feature the single player sandbox mode, where you can add your own additions to maps, including vehicles, characters, and generally dangerous fauna. This lets you go around on a murderous rampage through player-created tropical islands.

Recently, Ubisoft had released a trailer that showcased the multiplayer that will be featured in the game. According to the trailer, the game is set to feature many team-based gameplay features, like the ability to revive team mates, as well as having certain points all over the maps that you have to capture using teamwork. The game will also feature something similar to the scorestreaks from the Call of Duty games in the form of team support weapons.

Everything else in the game’s multiplayer looks the same as we have come to expect from modern multiplayer games, such as loadouts with unlockable weapons and attachments.

Two game modes shown in the trailer are Firestorm and Transmission game modes. The aim of Firestorm is to set fire to the enemy team’s supply nodes at the same time. Transmission mode has you race across the map to destroy propaganda transmitters. These game modes show how much the Far Cry 3 multiplayer is based on teamwork.

Earlier this month, Ubisoft had released the story trailer for Far Cry 3. In the game, you are originally on the island for a fun vacation. Things go sour when you run into some psychopaths who like murdering and torturing for no good reason. It’s up to you to get stronger, get better weapons, and find out what’s wrong in the island. The game will pit you against humans as well as nature, with everything from psychopathic bandits to hungry tigers wanting to eat you.

Back in October, Ubisoft had said that driving around the island in Far Cry 3 won’t be a chore . Lead game designer Jamie Keen told PlayStation Magazine UK that it won’t “become a chore this time”.

“What we wanted to do with this one is we wanted to make driving a fun experience”. Explains Keen, “We wanted it to feel like you can pull a handbrake turn round a corner and when you do it is great and fun to do. You can just launch your vehicle at 70mph off a cliff – it might not do very well – but you can do that stuff.”

Ever heard of one of those people who just never seem to shut up about something? Shunal is like the nerd equivalent of that guy. Believe us when we say that he can go on talking about games and smartphones for hours on end. We do manage to find some insight in his insane ramblings though, and through his moronic facade, he does seem to know more than he lets on. Sadly enough, it always ends up being about gaming with him. Or stupid, stupid puns. see more
