New Delhi:Low-cost tablet maker Datawindtoday said it has partnered with Bangalore-based ReverieLanguage Technologies for adding multi-language support to its'Ubislate' series of tablet PCs.
Through this tie-up, users of Ubislate tablets will beable to access the device in English, Hindi, Marathi, Tamil,Punjabi and various other foreign languages, Datawind said ina statement.
"This language solution will benefit the users byoffering a new world of services and products to a segment ofworld population that has been ignored for so long," DatawindCEO Suneet Singh Tuli said.
The technology will enable language integration at theoperating system level, ensuring that users can interact withthe device in a language of their choice.
Datawind, which had bagged a contract for supplyinglow-cost tablet Aakash to the government, has recentlylaunched two new tablets in the price range of Rs 3,000-4,000.
The tablets - Christened UbiSlate 7 and 7C -feature aseven-inch display, 256MB RAM and are powered by Cortex A8 800MHz processor.
The tablets run on Android's Gingerbread operating systemand support GPRS as well as Wi-Fi.
