While taking questions on Facebook , U2 apologised to iTunes users for automatic download of the band’s latest album “Songs of Innocence”.
Among the several questions asked by fans, it wasn’t surprising to hear a question about how U2 was forcing its songs on iTunes users. U2’s Bono replied “We (the band) might have got carried away with ourselves.” he further said, “a drop of megalomania, a touch of generosity, a dash of self promotion, and deep fear that these songs that we poured our life into over the last few years mightn’t be heard."
U2 played at the Apple iPhone event last month and Cook soon announced that the new album - Songs of Innocence - would be given for free to the company’s 500 million iTunes users. However, some iPhone users are not happy that U2’s new album was automatically added to their iTunes music library, free of charge.
After a backlash from users, Apple quickly released a special tool that lets people remove the album from their collections. If you still struggling to get rid of the songs, follow the steps to remove the album from here .
Besides, several other questions were about various topics including the recent photo-bombing by Benedict Cumberbatch. However, fans continued asking about the download issue.
