Here’s some more tidbit about the rumoured HTC One M8 successor or allegedly the **One M9** slated to launch on March 1 at the Mobile World Congress. A new image of the rumoured Hima HTC One M9 has surfaced and it could be possibly true as it comes from almost-retired @Evleaks, the prolific tipster known to provide accurate information about unannounced phones. https://twitter.com/evleaks/status/560425983476789248 The new leaked image shows two smartphones place next to each other - the standard One M9 and the larger model called Hima Ultra. The design refutes the previous rumours that the M9 will be an M8 clone and come without any design changes. The new smartphones bring the typical HTC design legacy, but aren’t exactly similar to the M8. In fact, going by the image, the smaller model comes with a small HTC logo black bar and it has also been moved slightly downwards. The larger Hima Ultra model isn’t simply a larger variant of the standard M9. It also comes with a HTC-logo black bar integrated with a home button and some other refinements, points out AndroidAuthority. Considering HTC has all touch buttons, the only reason for the home button would be the inclusion of a fingerprint scanner. Earlier this month, The Verge reported that HTC has sent out invitations for 2015’s Mobile World Congress (MWC), which will take place in Barcelona, Spain. The invite, showed a starry sky, captioned with the phrase “utopia in progress” trailing with “Join us to see what’s next.” While there’s no mention of the name of the smartphone, it is highly speculated to be the next flagship for 2015. In terms of the specifications, it is expected to pack a 1080p 5-inch display, an octa-core Snapdragon 810 SoC with 3GB of RAM, Cat6 LTE capabilities, a 20.7MP rear camera and the possibility of either a 13 megapixel or 4 ultrapixel front facing camera. One can also expect, 16/32/64GB storage options and a 2,840mAh battery. HTC is also expected to launch a wearable along with the device on March 1.
