Twitter users can now create and share moments from their mobile phones

Twitter has announced a roll out that allows users on mobile phones to create moments as well, a feature only available for desktop users till now.

Twitter Moments is a feature that allows users to curate a list of related tweets into a story. Various kinds of media can be compiled together in one story, using tweets from the users own accounts or any account on Twitter. The feature rolled out for desktop users in late September, and now Twitter has announced a roll out that allows users on mobile phones to create moments as well.

The problem that Moments addresses is that Tweets around a topic are spread across accounts, and there was previously no way to keep track of a set of tweets that presents a particular side of the story, gives a comprehensive coverage from various angles, or is a curation of tweets that appealed to the user personally.

With Moments, users can present an account, highlighting the key aspects. Moments was not available in India when the feature was launched for everyone, but now Twitter users in India can use the Moments feature.

Moments was initially available to brand partners and influencers. These select few accounts had access to the Moments feature since 2015. Moments appears as a separate tab on the profiles of users. Moments on Twitter is the response to the "Stories" feature on Snapchat and Instagram.
