After the addition of the WhatsApp button to share tweets, we saw a new thing last night while going through our timeline. There is a dedicated Subscribe call-to-action soft button inside a tweet, on accounts offering subscription services through their web platforms. Here you see a dedicated subscribe button with your email ID (which is linked to your Twitter account). On hitting subscribe, you register for subscription. [caption id=“attachment_226562” align=“aligncenter” width=“540”] The email account that you have linked to your Twitter account will be the recepient of the subscription The email address linked to your Twitter account will be subscribed[/caption] So far, we have just seen it with Longreads. We don’t know if this is just a one off thing as we are yet to see it with other Twitter accounts which we may not have subscribed to. For all you know, this may be like one other Twitter experiments - where you could open links within a Twitter browser, before going to the actual site - which is being tried out.
