Twitter’s struggle for revenue generation and wooing investors isn’t something new. Now, in yet another attempt, the micro-blogging site has released a new ad product called First View . It gives marketers the ability to own the top Twitter ad spot in the news feeds for about 24 hours. “Today we’re introducing First View: an engaging and highly visible way to share your brand story with compelling video creative across Twitter’s massive audience,” Twitter writes in a blogpost . When users first visit the Twitter app or log in to twitter.com, the topmost ad slot in the timelines will turn into a promoted video from the brand. This will allow marketers to tell their story to viewers. The First View will be gradually rolled out to managed clients in the US, and in the coming months it is expected to expand globally. Meanwhile, there had been reports about how Twitter had stopped showing ads to some of its popular and most engaging tweeters. Many thought it wasn’t really a good business move, and looks like now Twitter believes the same. The ads are reportedly back!
