A new update adds features to the Mac Twitter app that were already rolled out on other platforms for a while. Moments is a curated list of the best tweets on Twitter. The tweets are of a related story or a topic, and allows users to browse through the best tweets. The tweets in Moments are mostly curated by Twitter, but NASA, Buzzfeed, Entertainment Weekly, Mashable and a few other partners also curate the moments. Moments released on iOS, Android and Web back in October 2015.

GIF search makes it easy for users to embed GIF images in tweets. The GIFs are sourced from GIPHY and Riffsy. They appear in a bar below the tweet, based on the words used in the tweet. Searching with a keyword, or browsing through categories of reactions are also possible. The GIF search can be accessed through a GIF icon next to the upload photos icon below the tweet entry field. Twitter added the GIF search feature on iOS, Android and Web in February 2016.

Twitter polls is a feature that allows users to embed polls in their tweets. The audience or readers, can vote directly in the tweet itself, instead of following a link to a third party web poll service. Another cumbersome option of polling on twitter was tracking reactions using a hashtag. In the typical condensed approach of Twitter, the poll feature supports only two options. The polls are live for twenty four hours. Twitter introduced the polls feature for iOS, Android and Web in October 2015.
