Twitter brings the 'Happening Now' feature to give you the latest updates about an ongoing event

To help users keep track of events which are of interest to them, Twitter has launched a dedicated channel on the social media platform and it is called Happening Now. This horizontally lists events happening around the world which gives the user updates about the event. The channel shows a list of sports events that are happening in the US. On clicking the thumbnail of the event, the user can see a list of tweets with respect to the event. This update is currently only available in the US, on both iOS and Android. According to the tweet, Twitter has rolled out for sports events and may come up with more in the near futures. On pressing the event on the Happening Now channel, the display will show you live scores on the top, followed by updates as one scrolls down.

**Recently** , Twitter had also indicated the launch of the ‘Save for Later’ feature where the user can bookmark tweets. These tweets get saved in the bookmark channel. Instead of messaging or retweeting the user can directly add it to the bookmark section. In other news, **social media platforms** like Twitter, Facebook and Google have been asked by the US government to testify on 1 November. The testimony is linked to the Russian interference in the US presidential elections 2016. It had come under the scanner along with Facebook with regards to spreading racially charged fake news. Two US lawmakers had alleged that the microblogging site is serving as “an avenue to spread racism and bigotry”.
