Twitter app updated for iOS 9; new features added including split-screen multi-tasking

Twitter has updated its iOS app just a day after Apple released the iOS 9. The new updates lets the Twitter app make use of iOS 9’s Split-screen multi-tasking view. The split-screen multi-tasking feature will be supported on the iPad Air 2 and the newer and upcoming models such as the iPad Mini 4 as well as the iPad Pro. The split screen option will let you use Twitter along side other Apple apps such as Safari as well as Mail along with other apps. Another interesting feature is the ability to respond directly from a notification - no matter which screen or app you are in. This feature was already present on Apple Messages app. Pulling down on the notification will bring up the keyboard, which lets you type in your response. Apple’s iOS 9 is now available for download for all iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch models that can run iOS 8. According to Apple, iOS 9 is available as a free software update for iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 5s, iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, iPhone 4s, iPad Air 2, iPad Air, iPad 4, iPad 3, iPad 2, iPad mini 3, iPad mini 2, iPad mini and iPod touch fifth-generation. Some features may not be available across all regions or languages.
