Travelers Get Video Sharing Site

Travelers now have a video sharing site to themselves, travelistic.com, to upload and share their stories on the Internet. Founded by former head honchos of MTVi, iFilm and IGN, Travelistic allows all its registered users to upload, embed and email videos. The site will also allow its users to create their own profile pages, and message each other, form groups, invite friends, share videos with other members of the community and keep their favorite videos of places they’ve been to or want to visit. The site is supported by Google Maps, which marks where each video was shot and takes the user to a page with all the videos available from that destination, when clicked on.

Travelistic also includes videos from more than 120 Boards of Tourism and is currently in discussions with travel and hospitality properties to bring their videos to the site. Travelistic’s first original program will be a weekly travel news show, which will include ‘Thirsty Traveler’, a weekly program on the site, about wine, beer and spirit producing regions of the world. Another interesting show lined up, is ‘Focus On’, which taps into some exotic, interesting cultures of the world.
