Transcend has announced its solid state drives (SSD) have passed Microsoft Windows 7 WHQL (Windows Hardware Quality Labs) testing.
Windows 7 features advances in touch and handwriting recognition, support for virtual hard disks, improved boot performance and SSD optimizations. Microsoft has tuned its latest OS to run faster on SSD drives, with built-in support for the TRIM command.
Austin Huang, Regional Head - Sales, SAARC & APAC, Transcend, said, “We always strive to keep pace with technology. Our incessant R&D has made our products highly acceptable in the market. Now that Microsoft is launching its latest version of Windows operating system, Transcend users can freely use their solid state drives on Windows 7 computers without worrying about compatibility issues.”
To maximize SSD performance and assure harmonious integration with the various new technologies within Windows 7, Transcend’s complete line of SSDs, including SSD25, SSD25S, SSD25H, SSD25D, SSD18S, SSD18M and SSD34E, have all been tested to Microsoft standards.
