Toys 'R' Us Wii Pre-orders Are Shady

Toys ‘R’ Us (TRU) had been taking Wii pre-orders since October under the pretense of giving them a great deal with their $280 price tag and by providing them with an extra controller and an extra game free. Now it seems that the Canadian TRU has pulled back their offer, providing the people who pre-ordered with just the console for the same price, no free controller or game.

According to various posts all over, Australian TRU Wii pre-orders have left their customers feeling cheated too, as the TRU staff supposedly told them that the deal will include a free game of the customer’s choice (he/she can select one from a list) and it seems that this list includes, well, one game which is ‘ Open Season ‘!
