Touchscreen phones have germs, that’s no surprise. But did you ever stop to wonder just how much? British researchers have found that the average iPhone, Droid and touchscreen Blackberry has 18 times the number of germs the average flush handle in a men’s rest room would have.

Since influenza and other viruses get into our systems via our hands touching eyes, noses, ears etc., it’s also important to know how many of these cooties actually make it to our body. A Stanford university study found that 30% of germs on a touchscreen phone pass to the user’s hands and a good percentage of that actually makes it inside the body.
