It’s been a busy week for our reviewers with a slew of smartphones, tablets, TVs passing through our labs. Here’s a round-up of our reviews from this week.
Nokia Lumia 520 Review (8/10)
For Rs 10,500, the Lumia 520 is incredible value for money and has a very good display, multimedia capabilities and decent battery life. Add to that the presence of expandable memory, GLONASS, dual-band Wi-Fi and scratch-resistant glass and you have an offer that’s very hard to refuse. In addition, Windows Phone 8 runs super smooth on the phone regardless of the platform’s other shortcomings.

Asus Transformer Pad TF300TG Review (6.5/10)
Looking for a premium tablet with 3G support and powerful processor? Then the Transformer Pad TF300TG could be the one for you and the keyboard dock will sure come in handy for extra battery life and for more productive tasks. However, the more expensive Transformer Prime TF201 features better build quality and display.
HP Officejet Pro 3620 Review (8/10)
With lower ink costs, higher speeds and laser-like print quality, the HP OfficeJet Pro 3620 all-in-one printer is definitely recommended to those on a low budget. The only downside to this printer is the bulky chassis and its large footprint that would deter smaller offices or homes from purchasing it.
Acer Iconia Tab B1 Review (5.5/10)
Priced too high for what it has to offer, the only good points about the Iconia Tab B1 are the decent audio player, the 1.2GHz dual-core processor and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Compared to other budget offerings from the likes of Karbonn and Micromax, this one is not the best choice for a reasonably-priced tablet.
Samsung UA55F7500BR 2013 Smart LED TV Review (8/10)
At Rs 2,09,900, the Samsung UA55F7500BR Smart LED TV is a good Rs 50,000 more expensive than the non-Smart alternative from Samsung. The Smart TV features, motion and voice-control, and social networking integration either come off as gimmicks or are not well-implemented. But the stellar picture quality, design and build more than makes up for those demerits.
Sony Xperia E Dual Review (5.5/10)
A great option for those looking for an entry-level Android smartphone; the build quality is excellent for a handset in this price range. We wish the performance and multimedia capabilities were better. Sony’s UI looks slick and the forthcoming addition of Jelly Bean will do wonders. There’s even a single SIM version of the Xperia E for those not interested in the dual-SIM variant.
