The annual collection of fashion phones continued to grow this year with the usual labels putting their works on display. Nokia didn’t make it with the L’amour collection, giving way to a new design by Sony Ericsson. Let the show begin.
Motorola KRZR K1 (Rs. 16,000)
Motorola’s KRZR K1 continues to reign the style crown previously held by the RAZR. There is only a shade of blue available, but the shiny, glossy, mirrory finish of the slender phone manages to turn heads. If you’re done with the RAZR’s omnipresence, the KRZR is next on the ramp.
Sony Ericsson Z610 (Rs. 16,000)
A surprise entry from Sony Ericsson, who was never known to be a part of haute couture in mobile phones, the Z610 also has a very glossy, transparent top shell with a ‘floating’ external display that enhances it’s appeal. A winner with the women.
LG Chocolate KG800 (Rs. 13,500)
Despite the confusing placement of the call end button, the glossy black bar of the Chocolate is easily one of the best looking phones of the year. Its touch sensitive buttons, a display that hides away completely when not in use and an inherently fancy slider form factor make the Chocolate a delicious bite, without the added sin.
If you’re in the league, you’ll already have one of these phones. If not, these will make good buys when they go on sale next year, alongside the new Fall ‘06 collection.
