So many great phones released this year but most of them had at least one feature missing that stopped them from being one of the best of the year. What would FM radio do to the RAZR? How about a memory card slot on the X820? EDGE would have really helped the P990i. But there were a few other phones that managed to please all audiences by putting everything important into one handset. Read on to find the best of all-in-one phones of 2006!
Sony Ericsson K790i CyberShot (Rs. 18,000)
There’s little (if at all anything) to complain about the K790i. You get the best 3 megapixel digital camera in the phone market, an amazing xenon flash, a high-resolution screen, MP3/AAC and video playback, FM radio, memory card slot and Bluetooth with stereo A2DP support. Like I said before, the best camera with a phone for its price.
Motorola MING A1200 (Rs. 16,500)
Also one of the top 3 smartphones of 2006, the MING does it all - 2 megapixel digital camera, large touch screen, MP3 playback, FM radio, memory card slot, EDGE and Bluetooth - for a brilliant price.
Nokia N73 (Rs. 22,500)
Unanimously voted by the junta, the N73 is one of the best all-in-one phones of the year, with its high resolution screen, the fantastic Series 60 UI, excellent 3.2 megapixel digital camera, MP3/AAC playback, FM radio, hot swappable memory card support, EDGE and 3G/UMTS/WCDMA network support. It also has Bluetooth, but unfortunately no A2DP support. Fortunately for the N73, A2DP was not an all-in-one requirement this year, so it made it into this list! The Music Edition comes in black, adds a 1GB memory card and costs around Rs. 24,000.
If you’re going to spend more than Rs. 15,000 on a phone, ensure that it does everything you want it to do. If you’re too lazy to check the specs yourself, pick any of these and you won’t regret your choice!
