, Samsung has put its Gear S smart watch up for sale in India. Announced at
IFA 2014
, the Tizen OS running Gear S has a dedicated SIM card slot. It will be selling in India for Rs 28,900 and the pre-orders have already started at Rs 1,000 on the
Samsung India eStore.

The Samsung Gear S pre-order page is already up[/caption] The Gear S has a 2 inch curved super AMOLED display with a resolution of 480 x 360 pixels is also powered with 1GHz dual-core processor. It is paired with 512MB of RAM. There is a dedicated SIM card slot at the back of the Gear S. In terms of memory, the Gear S will have built-in 4GB memory. With a 300mAh battery, the smartwatch is said to deliver 2 days of usage. This IP67 certified wearable is dust and water resistant, and runs Samsung’s own Tizen instead of Android Wear. One will find support for 3G as well as Wi-Fi connectivity. This Bluetooth-enabled wearable also comes with improved multi-sensors and built-in GPS. The wearable also offers turn-by-turn pedestrian navigation offered by the mapping service HERE, advanced reading technology from Spritz and comes with social media integration. It will also support the Gear apps along with Samsung features like S Voice, Find My Device and Power Saving Mode.
