The Xperia Play May Hit India in April

The Xperia Play was officially launched at the Mobile World Congress 2011 in Barcelona, but its existence was known long before that. In case you forgot, here are the specs of the Xperia Play:

  • 1 GHz Scorpion ARMv7 CPU
  • Adreno 205 GPU
  • 4-inch capacitive multi-touchscreen at a resolution of 480x854
  • Slide-out controls
  • Android 2.3 Gingerbread
  • 5 Megapixel Camera with autofocus and LED flash
  • micro-USB port
  • 8GB microSD card, expandable to 32GB
  • 1,500mAh battery

The source expects the phone to be priced at around Rs. 34,000, which is rather steep, if you ask me. Either way, let’s wait and see what comes of this.
