The first Xiaomi phone to be running stock Android, the Mi A1 is part of Google’s Android One program. It’s packed to the brim with features and hardware to rival any device in the same price range.
As far as specifications are concerned, you get a device with a 5.5-inch Full HD screen, a dual camera with two 12 MP sensors on the rear, a 5 MP front camera, a 3,080 mAh battery, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC with 4 GB of RAM and it’ll be running Android 7.1.2.
For storage, you get 64 GB onboard with the option to expand it by up to 128 GB via a microSD card. The microSD card goes into a hybrid SIM tray, which can double as a dual-SIM tray when not using a microSD card.
The two 12 MP sensors are attached to a wide-angle and a telephoto lens. The camera software supports bokeh effects with these cameras. The wide angle lens has an aperture of f/2.2, the tele an aperture of f/2.6. Video recording at a 4K resolution and 30 fps is possible.
Interestingly, the device also packs in Dirac HD software, which is designed to improve audio quality from any device.
The device is 7.3 mm thick and weighs a mere 165 g. Colour options include Black, Gold and Rose Gold. Airtel is offering a 200 GB free 4G data pack with the purchase of the device from the Mi Home Store.
