The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will give Geralt new offensive and defensive capabilities

CDProjekt seems keen on expanding The Witcher series protagonist Geralt’s abilities in combat in the upcoming game. The game’s producer, Marek Ziemak, revealed some of the abilities that Geralt now has in an interview with OnlySP . According to Ziemak, Geralt will have new offensive and defensive abilities, as well as items and potions.

“You have new ways to dodge enemies and parry their blows,” he said. “But also, for each magical sign, you can use two versions of it. One is extended. For example, the Igni sign has a constant flamethrower thing whereas there’s also single, more destructive blow of fire. This is one of the new elements. We’re also introducing new alchemical potions, and other minor elements that will change the experience.”

The render of Geralt will see improvements

Geralt will be even more badass in the third game

Other new features of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt include the lack of load times. The game will also have a save-anywhere-you-want mechanic. It will also have a fast travel system in place for areas that Geralt has already visited. Considering the fact that this will be the studio’s last Witcher game, it will have 36 different endings that will finish off the story of Geralt.

Some other features were earlier revealed back in April. These include the addition of complete day and night cycles along with dynamic weather patterns, the inclusion of ten signs, instead of the previous games’ five signs, the addition of combat “skills” and the change to alchemy to make it more supportive.

Ever heard of one of those people who just never seem to shut up about something? Shunal is like the nerd equivalent of that guy. Believe us when we say that he can go on talking about games and smartphones for hours on end. We do manage to find some insight in his insane ramblings though, and through his moronic facade, he does seem to know more than he lets on. Sadly enough, it always ends up being about gaming with him. Or stupid, stupid puns. see more
