Leica is known for some of most expensive cameras and it recently partnered with Huawei to help design the dual camera on the P9 smartphone. Now the company has announced a new camera called Sofort which is its first ever instant camera. The Sofort is a compact, square-shaped camera that shoots on Fujifilm Instax Mini film. It features a 60mm f/12.7 lens, shutter speeds of 1/8 to 1/400, a 0.37x optical viewfinder, and a battery life of 100 shots. It also comes with some preset modes for Automatic, Party & People, Sports & Action, and Macro, to get properly exposed photos in different situations. One also gets options for shooting multiple exposures, time exposures, self-portraits, and self-timer photos. The camera offers manual control overrides so you can change the focusing distance, enable or disable the flash and adjust image brightness. The camera also features a rectangular mirror on the front so you can frame that perfect selfie. The Sofort has a Leica-designed camera body and will be coming in orange, white, and mint color options. Leica also announced two lines of Leica-branded film, one is a standard color film and the other is a black-and-white Instax Mini film. The Leica Sofort instant film features warm cream borders unlike the white borders on the Instax based film. As for the price, The Leica Sofort will be available for $299 (around Rs 20,000) while the Leica Instax Mini film packs cost $13 (around Rs 900) for a pack of 10 color exposures, and $16 (around Rs 1,100) for a pack of 10 monochrome exposures.
