Among the modifications, is a redesigned wireless system that gives you a lightning fast 300 Mbps download speeds.

Since the ITU-R has set peak speed requirements at 100Mbps for moving communication, and 1Gbps for stationary communication, the next iPhone is gearing up for the wave of 4G and heavy consumption of mobile data that is set to grow drastically between now and 2020. According to the Ericsson Mobility Report, mobile LTE subscriptions would grow by an overwhelming 40%. Currently, there are approximately 500 million subscribers globally, and this number is expected to touch 3.7 billion by 2020.

In the latest leak that appeared on 9to5mac, the next iPhone will have a new Qualcomm-made MDM9635M LTE chip that will boost download speeds. The report says, "the new device will include Qualcomm’s MDM9635M chip, also known as the '9X35' Gobi modem platform. This new chip promises significant performance improvements over the '9X25' chip found inside of the current iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, capable of delivering up to twice the theoretical LTE download speeds."
