The Huawei Honor 6X has launched in India as an Amazon exclusive at a starting price of Rs 12,999

Huawei has announced that the Honor 6X will sell in India as an Amazon exclusive device. Officially launched in India at an event in New Delhi, the phone will be made in India. For some reason, Huawei insists on calling it the #SwagPhone. First previewed globally at CES 2017 in Las Vegas, the phone features a 5.5-inch display and a dual-camera on the rear (12MP + 2MP). The front camera is an 8MP unit. It’s available in either a 3GB or 4GB variant and comes with a 3,340 mAh battery. Internal storage options include a 32GB and a 64GB variant. The screen is protected by 2.5D curved glass. As with the Chinese version, the phone is powered by a Kirin 655 SoC (octa-core). The phone supports 4G LTE and dual-SIM. Data transfer and charging happens over a microUSB 2.0 port. The phone will run Android 6.0 with Huawei’s EMUI overlay. An Android 7.0 beta with an updated EMUI is already available. A release version will be available in Q2 2017, promises Huawei. The camera includes a depth-of-field adjustment feature, allowing you to adjust the focus between objects in the background and foreground. Another feature is the Wi-Fi bridge, which can transform your phone into a Wi-Fi repeater for up to 4 devices. Huawei mentions that there will be 17 Huawei exclusive service centres as well as over 200 authorised services centres for Huawei products. The 3GB RAM and 32GB onboard storage option will sell for Rs 12,999. The 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant will retail for Rs 15,999. The phone will be available in grey, silver and gold.
