The Google Pixel 2 will be powered by a Snapdragon 835 and available in 5-inch and 6-inch variants: Report

A number of leaks and rumours are surfacing every now and then of the next Pixel phone which is slated to release in a couple of months. In the latest of the rumours it was believed that the **Google Pixel** would be released in three variants, including a 5-inch variant, another sporting a 5.5-inch display and the last sporting a 6-inch display. But it looks like Google will be discarding the 5.5-inch variant and working only on the other two models. The two 6-inch and 5-inch Pixel devices have been codenamed  **Walleye and Taimen** respectively and recent details have emerged regarding the specifications of both these phones in the XDA Developers Forum. The forum said that the source was trustworthy and have been giving accurate leaks for other devices as well. According to the leaks the unit code-named Taimen will have a bezel-less 5.99-inch 1440p OLED display which will be manufactured by LG. According to a TechRadar report_,_ the device will be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC paired with 4 GB of RAM. It is believed that the phone will have the same glass and metal combo used in the previous Pixel phone alongside a single-lens camera whose specifications have not yet been revealed. The Walleye unit will be having the same specs as the Taimen unit but a smaller screen size with a 4.97-inch FHD display. Walleye is also reported to be missing a 3.5 mm headphone jack. The Pixel 2 is slated for a release sometime in October.
